Plagiarism Policy

SSJLACF, which stands for the Shodh Sagar Journal of Language, Arts, Culture and Film, is dedicated to maintaining the best possible standards of academic integrity and intellectual conduct. In accordance with this promise, we have a policy that is quite strict about plagiarism cases. This rule applies to all papers that have been submitted and articles that have been published.

1. Definition of Plagiarism:
The use of the words, ideas, or phrases of another author without giving due credit to that author is an example of plagiarism. However, this definition is not exhaustive. For example, copying language, photos, or data from other sources, paraphrasing an excessive amount, and presenting the conclusions of other people's study as one's own are all examples of plagiarism.

2. Plagiarism Threshold:
With a maximum similarity value of 15% percent, the SSJLACF maintains a stringent bar for plagiarism throughout the year. If a manuscript's similarity index is higher than this level, the it may be subject to more inspection, amendment, or rejection completely.

3. Plagiarism Detection:
For the purpose of identifying instances of overlap with previously published works, plagiarism detection software is used to check each and every article that is submitted to the SSJLACF. It is via this method that we are able to guarantee the authenticity and originality of the research that we publish.

4. Author Responsibility:
It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure that their papers are completely original and that they acknowledge or reference all of their sources in the appropriate manner. When it comes to submitting their works, writers are strongly advised to examine them for instances of plagiarism.

5. Handling of Plagiarism:
At any point in time, whether before or after publication, the editorial board will take the necessary steps to address any instances of plagiarism that are discovered. An example of this might be requesting a correction from the author(s), rejecting the manuscript, or withdrawing the article that was published. However, this is not an exhaustive list.

6. Self-Plagiarism:
As for the problem of self-plagiarism, SSJLACF acknowledges its existence. It is not acceptable for authors to submit previously published work, even their own, in its whole or in part, without providing the necessary reference and making it abundantly obvious that recycled content is being utilized.

7. Education and Prevention:
In order to reduce the number of occurrences of plagiarism, the SSJLACF is dedicated to educate writers and reviewers about plagiarism as well as the best practices in citation and academic writing standards.

8. Appeals:
In the event that they are accused of plagiarism, authors have the opportunity to file an appeal. In order to be valid, appeals need to be supported by obvious proof of originality and the appropriate reference.
