Abstract
Arts-based interventions have gained recognition as effective tools for promoting mental health and well-being. This paper examines the influence of arts-based interventions on mental health outcomes, drawing upon a comprehensive review of existing research literature. Through an analysis of studies encompassing various art forms such as visual arts, music, dance, and drama, the impact of arts-based interventions on psychological processes, emotional regulation, stress reduction, and overall mental well-being. Additionally, the paper discusses the mechanisms underlying the therapeutic effects of arts engagement, including self-expression, creativity, social interaction, and neurobiological pathways. Furthermore, the study addresses the potential of arts-based interventions in diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, as well as individuals with mental health disorders. By synthesizing empirical evidence and theoretical frameworks, this paper provides insights into the role of arts-based interventions in promoting mental health and offers implications for future research and clinical practice.
